Handmade Touches for Summer: Lightness and Color in Every Stitch

Handmade Touches for Summer: Lightness and Color in Every Stitch

With the arrival of summer, the home fills with light, and our days become longer and warmer. It’s the perfect time to surround ourselves with handmade details that bring freshness, color, and joy. For me, there’s nothing like hand-stitched touches that fill every corner with life.

Embroidered towels, like the ones I’m working on this season, are a beautiful and practical way to decorate your kitchen or dining area. I love playing with gingham fabrics, floral patterns, and appliqués that remind me of country afternoons, outdoor snacks, and peaceful moments. Each design tells a story, stitched slowly and with love.

This summer, I’ve been inspired by nature’s colors—soft tones, blooming flowers, and motifs that capture sunny days. Whether it’s a mason jar with flowers, a collection of teapots, or a stitched garden, everything comes to life with thread and needle.

These pieces not only add charm but also connect us with the slower, more mindful rhythm of creating by hand. In a fast-paced world, giving or using something handmade is a way to pause and enjoy the present moment.

And you? Do you have a corner that could use a little handmade joy this summer?

With love,
